Ninth People’s Summit For Democracy
Also Gets Underway
The People’s Summit for Democracy will be held on June 8-10 at the Los Angeles California Trade Technical College. This is the Ninth People’s Summit held to counter the Summit of the Americas since the People’s Summit was first held in 2005 in Mar del Plata, Argentina.
Convoked by trade unionists, activists, grassroots organizations and progressive people of the Americas, the People’s Summit will host three days of art, music, speakers, debates, workshops, panel discussions and performances which, organizers say “uplift the voices of the people and imagine a new world; one that puts people’s democracy first. Join our movement and join our call for a People’s Summit to discuss the real crises facing our communities within the region.”
