Nakba 74 Photo Review

Worldwide Actions in Support of Palestine

Militant demonstrations took place in Palestine and in countries all over the world on the occasion of Al Nakba. This is at a time when the expulsions of Palestinians from their homes and land and attacks and killings by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers are increasing. It creates a living horror-filled picture today of the reality created by the Catastrophe 74 years ago — all of it carried out because of the acquiescence of the colonial powers which seized the Middle East after the defeat of the Ottoman Empire in World War I, and especially the U.S. as well as Canada.

The photo review does not feature any photos from the Middle East with the exception of Palestine. It seems like social media accounts were being blocked making access to the reports and photos not readily available. We do know that Berlin banned all vigils and demonstrations for Palestine. Anyone with Palestinian flags was arrested.
