Resistance to Israel’s Genocidal War in Gaza and Lebanon

A Genocide Within a Genocide

The U.S. and Israeli Zionists are stepping up their genocide within a genocide in northern Gaza.

The Israeli army has maintained a tight siege, with continued air and ground attacks on the Jabalia refugee camp and the towns of Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanun. No aid, including medicine, is being allowed into the region, and Israel continues to bomb civilian areas.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Tuesday, October 15 that 55 Palestinian citizens were killed and 329 others injured in the four massacres carried out by the U.S./Zionist forces in Gaza over the previous 24 hours. Without counting the thousands whose remains lie under the rubble unidentified, this brings the official death toll in Gaza to 42,344 martyrs and 99,013 injured.

The U.S./Zionist attacks on Gaza have wiped out 902 entire families in the past year, erasing them from the civil registry. This means every single one of their members was killed over the past year.

Every day in Gaza, on average:

- 115 people are killed — that's one out of every 55 people living in Gaza

- 46 are children
- 31 are women
- 38 are men

- 266 people are injured -- that's one out of every 23 people in Gaza

- 27 people are missing under the rubble

- 5,480 people are forced from their homes

The UN's World Food Programme (WFP) has announced that primary crossings into northern Gaza have been closed, with no food aid entering the region since October 1. Food distribution points, kitchens and bakeries have shut down due to airstrikes and evacuation orders. Those who do not evacuate will be considered terrorists, the Zionists have announced. Meanwhile, in certain areas they are shooting at anything that moves and nobody can evacuate not only because there is nowhere to go but because they are killed if they move.

Emergency demonstration in Montreal, October 14, against latest Israeli macssacre in Deir al-Balah camp

Israeli troops in Jabalia are burning houses and bombing them with tanks and artillery fire, using Palestinians as human shields, various news agencies report. The Israeli military is also trying to force medical personnel to evacuate the three hospitals in the area, imposing starvation warfare and preventing clean water from reaching the inhabitants. Israeli strikes have killed hundreds of Palestinians in an offensive focusing on the Jabalia refugee camp over the past few days, various news agencies confirm.

Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur on Occupied Palestinian Territories, said Palestinian civilians in Jabalia "are killed – both in groups and one by one – amid unspeakable cruelty and sadism" by Israeli troops "who have accepted to be ‘willing executioners' of a genocidal plan."

"It blows my mind to think that WE KNOW what Israel is doing and altogether we cannot stop it," she said.

Tania Hary, executive director of Gisha, the Israeli human rights organization defending Palestinians' right to move freely in Gaza, expressed deep concern over the implication that anyone failing to comply with evacuation orders could be considered "at war."

The World Health Organization (WHO) has also reported that health services in northern Gaza are almost non-existent.

The Arab League has described Israel's actions in northern Gaza as "genocide" and condemned these actions.

Norway sharply criticized Israel for its "brutal warfare" in Gaza, accusing the country of violating the rules of war. "Israel's brutal warfare in Gaza includes indiscriminate and disproportionate attacks, as well as measures that prevent the population from receiving humanitarian aid. This is in violation of the rules of war," said Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide in a statement.

Thus far, Canada has nothing to say to condemn what Israel is doing. Its official stand is that everything Israel does is an act of its right to self-defence, a position with which all the cartel parties concur. It is an indefensible position in lockstep with the U.S. green light given to Israel to commit genocide.

The siege and intense attacks appear to follow the so-called "Generals' Plan," Israeli Non Government Organizations (NGOs) inform.

The "Generals' Plan," initially proposed by General Giora Eiland, a former head of the Israeli army's operations department, envisions a division of Gaza into two parts, the Associated Press (AP) which has seen a copy of the plan explains. The plan proposes indefinite Israeli control over northern Gaza and the establishment of a new administration free of Hamas.

The copy of the plan seen by AP suggests that if this strategy succeeds in northern Gaza, it could be extended to other areas in the south, including tent camps housing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, AP reports.

It explains: "Under this strategy, Palestinians would have a week to leave a third of northern Gaza, including Gaza City, after which the area would be declared a closed military zone.

"The plan includes a strict embargo on food, water, medicine, and fuel, and would label Palestinians who remain as 'militants,' potentially justifying lethal force. The goal is to split Gaza and create a non-Hamas-controlled administration. Ultimately, Gaza would be divided into two separate areas.

"When asked if the recent evacuation orders were part of this plan, Israeli military spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani said, 'No, we have not received any such plan.' However, an official familiar with the matter told AP that some parts of the plan are being implemented, without specifying which."

According to AP, Eiland asserts that the only way to weaken Hamas is by denying it access to aid, forcing it to surrender or starve."That doesn't mean killing everyone. People won't be able to live there; the water will run out," he said.

Four NGOs — B'Tselem, Gisha Legal Center for Freedom of Movement, Physicians for Human Rights Israel and Yesh Din Volunteers for Human Rights — have called on the international community to take action to prevent Israel from forcibly transferring hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who have remained in the Northern Gaza Strip. They say it is part of the "General's Plan."

"There are alarming signs that the Israeli military is beginning to quietly implement the Generals' Plan, also referred to as the Eiland Plan, which calls for complete forcible transfer of the civilians of the northern Gaza Strip through tightening the siege on the area and starving the population," the NGOs said in an October 14 statement.

The NGOs reiterated that all states "have an obligation to prevent the crimes of starvation and forcible transfer. The continuation of the 'wait and see' approach will enable Israel to liquidate northern Gaza, they will be complicit," the NGOs emphasized.

Valiant Resistance to U.S./Israeli Onslaught in Northern Gaza

Emergency demonstration, Ottawa, October 15 against Israeli crimes massacre in
Deir al-Balah camp

On October 12, Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, executed a sophisticated ambush against Israeli forces east of Jabalia refugee camp, resulting in multiple Israeli casualties. The Brigades managed to entrap a mechanized infantry unit consisting of 12 military vehicles and a truck loaded with soldiers in the ambush. As soon as the convoy reached the ambush point, the Brigades targeted a soldier-laden truck with a "Shawaz" explosively formed penetrator (EFP) and targeted a Humvee with a thunder explosive, while hitting another jeep with a Tandem rocket.

Following the initial strikes, Al-Qassam fighters advanced toward the ambush area and eliminated the remaining soldiers at close range using light weapons. Additionally, they targeted a group of soldiers who fled toward a nearby house with an anti-personnel explosive. As part of the same ambush, the Brigades also targeted two Israeli Merkava tanks with a Tandem rocket and a "Shawaz" EFP after they arrived with a reinforcement unit.

The Israeli military command admitted that three commanders in the Administrative Assistance Unit 5460 of the 460th Armored Brigade serving in the training formation were among those pronounced dead.

In other operations, Al-Qassam Brigades struck an Israeli reconnaissance patrol of two vehicles and four soldiers using a kamikaze drone east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Israeli military vehicles stationed east of Jabalia camp were targeted with heavy-calibre mortar shells by Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades. Al-Mujahideen Brigades released footage documenting their targeting of a group of Israeli soldiers with heavy-calibre mortars in Jabalia, achieving direct hits, while the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and the Martyr Omar Al-Qassem Forces, the armed wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, targeted Israeli forces east of Jabalia refugee camp.

On October 13, Al-Qassam Brigades targeted two Israeli military tanks with two anti-armour explosives and a building where dozens of Israeli soldiers were holed up with a "TBG" shell, east of Jabalia camp, northern Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam Brigades also struck an Israeli military troop carrier with a tandem shell north of Beit Lahia city in the northern Gaza Strip; blew up a tunnel shaft on an Israeli military infantry force, north of Beit Lahia, also in the northern Gaza Strip and hit an Israeli Merkava tank with an Al-Yassin 105 shell in Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.

Al-Quds Brigades were active in the Jabalia camp where they struck a Merkava tank. They downed a military quadcopter spy drone in Gaza City, targeted two Israeli military vehicles and destroyed an Israeli troop carrier by detonating a pre-planted Thaqib explosive.

Al-Nasser Salah Al-Din Brigades in joint operations with Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, targeted the command and control rooms in the "Netzarim" axis with two 107 rockets; targeted a gathering of Israeli forces stationed in the "Netzarim" axis with two 107mm rockets and a gathering of Israeli soldiers and their military vehicles with regular mortar shells north of the city of Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Martyr Abdulqader Al-Husseini Brigades operations included targeting the headquarters of Israeli military east of Jabalia camp, northern Gaza Strip, with a number of 60 mm mortar shells while the Martyr Omar Al-Qassem Forces struck a gathering of Israeli soldiers and military vehicles north of the "Netzarim" axis with mortar shells.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq fired on two vital Israeli military sites in the occupied city of Haifa and a vital Israeli military target in the occupied Golan Heights using barrages of drones.

Battle on Lebanon Front Enters New Phase

For 25 days straight the Zionist state of Israel has continued its bloody war and escalated its military operation in Lebanon. The Israeli army announced that it had bombed 200 targets in Lebanon during the 24 hours between October 13-14. The Lebanese Ministry of Health said the death toll of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon has surged to 2,309 martyrs, in addition to 10,782 wounded since October 8, 2023.

Clear Evidence of Hezbollah's Fighting Capacity

Hezbollah for its part reported more than 34 operations including heavy armed clashes at close range to deter the Israeli Occupation Forces attempts to advance into southern Lebanon, as well as raining down rockets, missiles and artillery on military bases and sites in Israel. They have destroyed Israeli radar installations, destroyed three Israeli tanks in one operation alone, as well as carrying out a drone strike on the military base for the Golani Brigade in Binyamina south of the city of Haifa that killed at least four and wounded 60 or so Israeli soldiers, a serious blow to the IOF forces as well as the myth of their invincibility.

Through the early hours of Saturday, October 12, Hezbollah struck IOF artillery positions in Ma'iliya, destroyed an Israeli military bulldozer in Ramia and scored direct artillery hits on Israeli infantry in Khirbet Zar'it. Hezbollah also conducted strikes deeper into Israel. They shelled Base 7200, south of Haifa, targeting an explosives factory with precision rockets, resulting in a direct hit.

Later, they targeted an Israeli assembly point on the outskirts of Blida, achieving another successful strike. In the afternoon of October 12, Hezbollah engaged IOF forces in fierce clashes, striking an Israeli assembly point in the Metulla settlement, a force in the Kfar Yuval settlement, and the communications base in Keren Naftali, all with large barrages of rockets, achieving direct hits. The Islamic Resistance also targeted an Israeli assembly point in Misgav Am with artillery shells, achieving a direct hit. This was followed by an operation where the fighters shelled the Zvolon military industry's base with a barrage of rockets.

On the evening of October 12 the Hezbollah fighters shelled the Ma'ale Golani barracks with rockets, and the Homa base in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights was targeted again. Additionally, another gathering of Israeli soldiers in the Kfar Giladi settlement was struck with rockets. Hezbollah concluded the day with a barrage of rockets targeting an Israeli assembly point in Keren Naftali. Finally, an Israeli infantry force attempting to infiltrate Lebanese territory from the Ramia site was targeted with a guided missile, resulting in numerous casualties among the soldiers.

After Hezbollah's strike on the Binyamina base, south of occupied Haifa, Israeli media emphasized that Hezbollah has more surprises up its sleeve, commenting that the leadership in Israel is selling illusions about its ability to destroy the capabilities that Hezbollah has accumulated for years.

Israeli TV Channel 14, for example, reported that Israeli military officials at the Binyamina base criticized the military leadership, stating, "Is the Chief of Staff waiting for another disaster? We are completely exposed and helpless."

Channel 14 also reported that a number of elite Israeli occupation forces were humiliated. During a Hezbollah missile attack the soldiers had no choice but to hide in a sewage canal due to the lack of shelters and protected spaces in a large central military base, it said.

Another Israeli media source, Kan TV, reported that a year after the Palestinian Resistance's Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, the occupation's leadership refuses to learn from its mistakes. The channel criticized the arrogance of Israeli military officials, who have been claiming that Hezbollah is collapsing "like a house of cards."

Israeli media is stunned by reality that Hezbollah has not collapsed and remains capable of causing serious damage to Israel, Al Mayadeen wrote. Hezbollah's ability to strike Israeli military bases in central Israel exposes, even to Israeli media, that there is a hole in Israel's air defence system, which has difficulty dealing with this type of threat."Israel is struggling to come up with solutions," Al Mayadeen wrote.

Significant Speech by Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General

In a televised speech on October 15, Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem addressed Hezbollah fighters and the Lebanese nation about the dimensions of the current battle, Israel's plans to occupy the region, and the new equations imposed by Hezbollah. Al Mayadeen carries the following report:

"With the battle entering a new phase and shifting dynamics, Sheikh Qassem said Lebanon is no longer in the support front phase, 'rather, we are now facing an Israeli war against us.'

"In light of this, he declared that in this new equation, Hezbollah is now targeting Tel Aviv, Haifa, and even beyond Haifa, in accordance with the directives of the great martyred leader Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

"'Since the enemy has targeted all of Lebanon, we have the right to target any location within the entity, which we will choose as we see fit,' asserted the Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah."

He dismissed any flights of fancy the U.S./Israeli Zionist aggressors are entertaining that their barbarism against Lebanon will convince the people to abandon the Palestinian cause. "Lebanon cannot be separated from Palestine, nor can the region be separated from Palestine," Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem emphasized. "Our [Resistance] support for Palestinians is a support for justice; as they have been wronged, as such, we are capping the Israeli expansionist project," he said.

He revealed that Hezbollah "was asked to put an end to the war and move more than 10 km from the border so as not to provoke Israel, yet, we still insisted on a ceasefire in Gaza. We did not respond to their request to separate Lebanon from Gaza," he said "as the current project is expansionist."

Likewise he dismissed the U.S. and its Genocide Cartel's claims that the resistance is all "Iran's doing." "We are amid a Palestinian project, not an Iranian project," he said, "and this is a matter of pride for Iran to support Palestine."

Hezbollah has no illusions about who is responsible for the ongoing genocide, Sheikh Qassem underscored: "Were it not for the U.S., the Greater Satan, Israel would not have been able to gain control like this, pursuing a 'New Middle East.'"

Sheikh Qassem said it is time to "hurt the enemy." He warned that the Resistance would focus on targeting Israeli occupation soldiers, their positions, and military barracks. Sheikh Qassem clarified that the solution to end the war lies in a ceasefire, asserting that Hezbollah is not speaking from a position of weakness.

The achievements of the Resistance over the past two weeks have exceeded expectations, he explained, adding that "the mission of the Resistance has not only been to halt the (Israeli) advance, but to pursue it [the enemy]."

He stressed that "Israel" will be defeated, while the Resistance will not, as "it is defending its own land" and its members and fighters are prepared to offer the ultimate sacrifice, their lives, in defence of the dignity of this land and its people.

He added that the Resistance's steadfastness and its people's solidarity "are the only path to reclaim land and halt aggression."

Jewish Voice for Peace Protest at
New York Stock Exchange

Jewish Voice for Peace organized hundreds of pro-Palestine Jewish activists to stage a protest outside the New York Stock Exchange on Monday October 14 against U.S. support for Israel's genocide in Gaza.

More than 500 people joined in the action, wearing red shirts inscribed with the well-known watchword Not in Our Name, held up banners reading Jews Say Stop Arming Israel and Gaza Bombed, Wall Street Booms. Other slogans included Fund FEMA Not Genocide, in reference to the Federal Emergency Management Agency responsible for dealing with the aftermath of two recent devastating hurricanes that struck the southeastern U.S.

Jewish Voice for Peace wrote on social media: "The U.S. is not arming Israel to protect Jews. The U.S. is arming Israel for its own profit and control of the region. [President Joe] Biden wants us to believe that his $18 billion slush fund this year for the Israeli government is for 'Jewish safety.' As Jews, we reject this myth with every fiber of our beings. We refuse to let our traditions, histories, and identities be used to massacre Palestinians."

The New York Police Department arrested 206 people at the protest.
