National Days of Action December 16-18
Status for All Is Our Right!
The Migrant Rights Network is calling on activists across the country to hold events from December 16 to 18 under the call “This Holiday We Unite, Status for All Is Our Right.”
The network explains, “On December 16, 2021, Prime Minister Trudeau made a mandate letter commitment that Immigration Ministers have repeated many times over since: a regularization program for undocumented people and permanent resident status for migrant students and workers. But we are still waiting!
“Between December 16-18, 2023 take action to mark the promise, the holidays, International Migrants Day [December 18] and Migrant Rights Network’s five-year anniversary. Together, we will demand equal rights at work, universal access to services and family unity which is only possible through permanent resident status. Help make these actions a success by sending handwritten letters to Prime Minister Trudeau in advance, click here for instructions.”
