Hezbollah has vowed to continue the fight until Palestine is free. This defining moment calls on all those who support the just cause of the Palestinian people to stand as one with them at this critical time.
The Resistance Movement Hezbollah has confirmed that its leader for the past three decades, Sayeed Hassan Nasrallah, was assassinated in the massive airstrike on a residential building in Dahiyeh, a densely populated suburb of Beirut on Friday September 27. Israel is said to have used 2,000 tons of bombs to carry out the assassination, including many 2,000-pound "bunker buster bombs" provided by the United States.
The Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist) condemns this cowardly, criminal assassination and expresses its profound condolences to the Lebanese people and Resistance forces. We condemn the politics of assassination –- introduced as a new normal by the U.S. imperialists and especially Obama -– whereby civilians are killed with drones and high precision bombs in the name of high ideals. No matter how much the supporters of genocide who call themselves democrats celebrate such crimes against humanity, now is the time to speak in our own name. The peoples of the world are rising as one humanity to deprive the criminals of their positions of power and privilege which permits the likes of Netanyahu to do what he is doing.
The U.S. imperialists and their allies including Canada have done everything to obscure the essence of the matter on the world scale, which is the struggle of the peoples of the world against imperialism, for their independence, the right of all countries to be treated equally and determine their own affairs themselves without foreign interference. Today everything is done by the U.S. imperialists and their intelligence agencies to undermine the Resistance forces to not take a forthright anti-imperialist stand but conciliate with the neo-liberal forces by calling the resistance forces names and claiming they cannot be supported because they are Islamist, terrorist or backward.
This is not a time to permit the Resistance Movement to be divided by the massive propaganda campaign that the problems in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon and the world are caused by the Islamic Republic of Iran because it is "the greatest terrorist state on earth" or Hezbollah, or Hamas or the Yemeni Ansarallah resistance or any other forces fighting U.S. imperialism and its partners in crime. Their sole aim is to cause division in the ranks of the Resistance based on lies that it is "Islamist" and has an aim other that the liberation of Palestine.
Now is the time to stand up and be counted by not giving free rein to the dirty sabotage conducted by the police agencies of the enemies of humankind. For the past one year and 75 years before that, since the state of Israel was established in 1948, every effort has been made to make sure the initiative is never ever in the hands of the people but remains in the hands of the great powers which block the struggles of the peoples of the world for peace, freedom and democracy.
This is a defining moment in the history of humankind. Unity is forged in action in support of the Resistance forces. The politics of provocation are a prelude to military intervention and aggression of the kind intended to persuade the Arab and European nations as well as the countries of Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean which are all demanding action to stop Israel to drop their demands and instead collaborate with the U.S./Zionist forces. Do not permit making Iran and all the forces fighting for the recognition of the Palestinian people's right to be on their own terms the enemy.
This is a time to keep one's eye on opposition to the criminal U.S. striving for global hegemony using the Zionist entity and its criminal Prime Minister to pull the trigger.
The criteria to keep in mind is to unite in action with all those who keep the justice of the cause of the Palestinian people in first place. Oppose the crimes committed by the U.S. imperialists and its accomplices who are using the Zionists to commit genocide and pull the trigger for them against Iran and all those they call the axis of evil. The complicity of the U.K. amongst others and Canada's perpetual conciliation with the crimes committed against humanity must not be given free rein. This is not a time to suggest that the way forward is provided by any U.S. imperialist hatched scheme which continues the Zionist occupation of Palestine or justifies the war crimes of the U.S./Zionist forces.
Deepest sympathies to the Lebanese people for the loss of their beloved leader Sayeed Hassan Nasrallah. Hezbollah has vowed to continue the fight until Palestine is free and so too should all those who support the just cause of the Palestinian people stand as one with them at this critical time.
The martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah opens yet another chapter in this great fight for freedom. Everyone should prepare to wage it with the heroism, courage and resilience which characterizes the Resistance fighters and the people who are defying even death to end the rule of the greatest criminals the world has ever seen.
Hezbollah's Announcement of Martyrdom of

The Lebanese Resistance Movement Hezbollah released a statement
announcing the martyrdom of its Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan
Nasrallah.
"His eminence, the leader of the Resistance, the pious servant of God, has passed on to God as a great leader, a brave martyr, joining the martyrs of Karbala...on the path of prophets," the statement read.
"Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, joined his great, eternal companions, whose journey he led for over 30 years through victory after victory" after succeeding Sayyed Abbas al-Mousawi in 1992, leading them in "the liberation of Lebanon in 2000 and the Divine Victory of 2006," and up to the battle of support for the oppressed people of Palestine.
Hezbollah extended its condolences to the Islamic nation and the steadfast people of Lebanon, and all the free and oppressed people of the world, congratulating Sayyed Nasrallah on achieving the greatest of divine gifts, through which he was granted his greatest wish, that of a martyr on the path of Palestine and al-Quds.
The Islamic Resistance also congratulated his fellow martyrs who joined him in martyrdom following the Israeli aggression on the southern suburb of Beirut.
In the statement, Hezbollah's leadership promised Sayyed Nasrallah, "our greatest, holiest, and most beloved leader in our path filled with martyrs and sacrifice, to continue its struggle against the enemy, in support of Gaza and Palestine, and in defence of Lebanon and its honorable, resilient people."
The Islamic Resistance concluded its statement by addressing the freedom fighters of the Resistance, "you who were his trusted shield ... our leader the Sayyed still lives among us through his thought, spirit, and his holy path."

Massive Criminal U.S./Zionist Airstrike
Assassinates Hezbollah Leader
The Israeli army launched a massive airstrike targeting a residential area in the southern suburbs of Beirut on September 27. The target of the strike was Hezbollah's Secretary-General, Sayeed Hassan Nasrallah.
Israeli media reports say the Zionist regime had informed the United States of the attack shortly before it was carried out. Israeli army radio said that F-35 aircraft carried out the aggression using bunker-buster bombs. Israeli media reported that 2,000 tons of explosives were dropped on Beirut's Southern Suburb. Six buildings were razed to the ground as a result of the Israeli aggression.
Israel said on September 26 it had secured an $8.7 billion aid package from the U.S. government to support its ongoing military assaults on Lebanon and Gaza and to maintain a "qualitative military edge in the region," Reuters reported. The package includes $3.5 billion for critical military purchases and $5.2 billion for air defence systems, including the Iron Dome anti-missile system, David's Sling, and an advanced laser system.
"This substantial investment will significantly strengthen critical systems such as Iron Dome and David's Sling while supporting the continued development of an advanced high-powered laser defense system currently in its later stages of development," Israel's Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Reuters reported in late June that Israel's allies in the U.S. had sent more than 10,000 highly destructive 2,000-pound bombs and thousands of Hellfire missiles since the start of the war in Gaza last October. The news agency added that the Pentagon had transferred at least 14,000 of the MK-84 2,000-pound bombs, 6,500 500-pound bombs, 3,000 Hellfire precision-guided air-to-ground missiles, 1,000 bunker-buster bombs, 2,600 air-dropped small-diameter bombs, and other munitions.
While this is devastating fire power, the history of humankind has confirmed time and time again that it is not weapons which are decisive in battle but the justice of the cause of the Resistance fighters who stay true to their aim.
