Israeli Apartheid Week 2024

Actions in support of Palestine and against the Israeli occupation, under the banner of Israeli Apartheid Week, are taking place throughout March, following the call of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions National Committee based in Palestine. The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) campaign is a Palestinian-led movement for freedom, justice and equality. BDS upholds the simple principle that Palestinians are entitled to the same rights as the rest of humanity.

The BDS National Committee points out that this year will be the most important since a week of activities was launched 20 years ago. It explains: “With the ongoing Nakba at its height, Israel is carrying out the world’s first ever live-streamed genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza.” It decries the apartheid regime Israel has entrenched and calls on people to continue to carry out inspired actions to “end state, corporate and institutional complicity in Israel’s #GazaGenocide and contribute to the Palestinian struggle for freedom, justice, and equality.”
