Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution
January 1, 1959
Long Live Revolutionary Cuba!
January 1, 2023 marks the 64th anniversary of the victory of the Cuban Revolution over the U.S.-backed dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. It also marks another year that Cuba has prevailed over attempts to destroy it by the brutal U.S. blockade which deprives Cuba of its ability to engage in normal trading relations with other countries for vital medicines, food and other essential items and impedes and blocks normal exchanges with the rest of the world.
On this occasion, the Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist) conveys its warmest revolutionary greetings to the people of Cuba and their leadership, with full confidence that revolutionary Cuba will overcome the challenges it faces as it has always done — based on mobilizing the people’s ingenuity and steadfastness, and with the broad support of the peoples of the world with whom revolutionary Cuba has always shared weal and woe.
We salute Cuba’s President Miguel Díaz-Canel whose leadership has inspired the Communist Party, government and people to prevail over the many challenges Cuba continues to face today. We salute the Cuban Communist Party and the Cuban people whose courage, tenacity and humanity are without equal. Since the triumph of the revolution, through their resistance and solidarity from around the world they have attained the goal of an independent and sovereign nation. They have scored momentous victories without sacrificing principles on any front.
Thanks to Revolutionary Cuba, the peoples of all Latin America and the Caribbean have a beacon of social justice on the basis of the affirmation of human rights and a force which contributes to peace and stability in the region and the world.
Long Live Revolutionary Cuba!
Congratulations on the Occasion of the 64th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution!
Hasta la Victoria Siempre!
