Rallies are taking place in Montreal and Ottawa tomorrow, Wednesday, August 10, and in Windsor and Vancouver on Thursday, August 11, to protest the actions of Israeli occupation forces which carried out “pre-emptive” attacks on Gaza from August 5 to 7, and demand the government of Canada condemn these actions. At least 45 Palestinians were killed by the occupation forces, including 16 children, with another 300 injured.
It is unconscionable for the government of Canada to continue to support the Zionist project.
Also during the latest Israeli attacks, 18 housing units were totally destroyed, 71 units were left severely uninhabitable and 1,675 units were partially damaged. Some 2,200 housing units destroyed in previous attacks still need to be replaced and thousands more need to be repaired.
Cumulative damage to other areas of Gaza’s economy from Israeli attacks, such as the industrial, commercial and agricultural sectors, is said to now amount to approximately $875 million, and these sectors also require reconstruction.
Join these rallies in solidarity with the people of Gaza as they resist Zionist terror and to demand an end to Canada’s appeasement of Israeli colonial violence.
