L'Union des travailleuses et travailleurs
accidentés et malades (UTTAM) has launched an
urgent action in the form of a letter campaign
to the Members of the National Assembly
(MNAs), asking them to vote against the
adoption of Bill 59.
UTTAM writes:
"On September 28, the National Assembly began
its work for its final adoption of Bill 59
modernizing the occupational health and safety
regime. The modifications contained in this
bill constitute a major attack on workers'
rights.
"This is why, while there is still time, we
are asking you to send a message to your MNA
to let him or her know that you disagree with
these major rollbacks on workers' rights and
are asking them to oppose the adoption of this
bill.
"Take action now!
"Take a few seconds to send an automated
message to your MNA at non-au-projet-de-loi-59.ca.
"Thank you for this gesture of solidarity."
