Ongoing Actions Support
Wet'suwet'en Land Defenders
Across the country, working people continue to
express
their support for the Wet'suwet'en land defenders and their just
stand
to affirm their sovereignty and claims on their hereditary lands
and
their right to say No! Shown below are events held from
January
15 to 23. The actions are sure to continue as the Wet'suwet'en
continue
to face violations of the agreement reached on January 8 by the
hereditary chiefs and the RCMP. Meanwhile, the interim court
injunction
granted to Coast Gas Link against the Gidimt'en checkpoint and
enforced
by the RCMP raid remains in place until the defendants -- those
arrested on January 7, as well as residents and supporters of the
Unist'ot'en camp -- file a response in court January 31.
