Delegation Visits Party Memorial
August 24, 2011, marked the 14th anniversary of the
death of Comrade Hardial Bains, the founder and leader of the Communist
Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist).
On this occasion, a delegation comprised of representatives of
the Central
Committee, the Ottawa-Gatineau and Quebec Committee of the Party
and the
Party youth organization
gathered at the Party Memorial in the name of all Party comrades,
sympathizers and friends, to pay solemn homage to Comrade Bains.
Today, when U.S. imperialism and its hangmen are
committing unprecedented crimes against humanity, with the full
participation of the Harper government, and when
the monopoly bourgeoisie is dismantling Canada by eliminating all the
gains obtained by the tenacious struggle of the working class and
people for more than one hundred
years, the building of the Mass Communist Party assumes even greater
importance. Only by developing the Party's leading role can the working
class and people stop
reaction and contribute to changing the
situation in a manner which favours them and the working and oppressed
peoples around
the world.
The comrades of the Party youth organization have been
entrusted with looking after the monument and the revolutionary
movement it celebrates which is dedicated to the life
and work of Comrade Bains and the
contribution of the many other comrades whose names are inscribed on
it. This monument represents this contribution which personifies the
spirit of the Party, the spirit of
Marxism-Leninism and the political movement led by the Party in Canada
on this basis for more than 40 years. As the words inscribed on the
monument point out: "The
Issue is Not to Wave the Red Flag But to Show Our Colours Through Our
Deeds."
The youth reaffirmed: "On this sad
occasion of the 14th
anniversary of the death of Comrade Bains, we pledge to always work
harder to make the Party's word its deed and to lead the working class
and people to realize the work required to open society's path to
progress."
Comrade Bains said: "We will
march together and achieve
the tasks which we have set for the present time. Watch us -- we will
win!"
"Comrade Bains, you are the red of our flag. Your deeds
and work live in us. Long Live CPC(M-L)!"
