Mass Demonstrations in Israel Demand Ceasefire and New Elections

Protests in Israel demanding Prime Minister Netanyahu's resignation and that the Israeli government negotiate a ceasefire and hostage release have continued throughout June. An estimated 120,000 took to the streets of Tel Aviv on June 29 in the latest such protest, a similar number to the June 2 demonstration in that city. Demonstrations were also held on June 21-22 in Tel Aviv, Caesarea, Haifa and West Jerusalem.
