Concerted Walk Out from UN General Assembly When War Criminal Netanyahu Spoke
During the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly it was shocking for the world to see that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been charged with genocide by the International Criminal Court could freely travel to New York and address the General Assembly. In response, as he approached the platform at the General Assembly on September 27, member nations walked out en masse.
Al Mayadeen posted video of the delegations walking out and the near-empty General Assembly chambers while Netanyahu was speaking. Footage on social media shows a near-empty hall and thousands of protesters marching in New York City denouncing the Israeli occupation's crimes in Gaza and Lebanon and demanding Netanyahu's arrest.
Thanks to U.S. support and that of the UK, Canada and a few other countries, Netanyahu arrogantly defended his morally depraved decision to order the Zionist army's actions in Lebanon and Gaza saying, "I've come here today to say enough is enough."
