About the COVID-19 Pandemic and Required Measures
In late December 2019, Chinese authorities notified the World Health Organization (WHO) about an outbreak of of pneumonia of unknown cause in the city of Wuhan, central China. Infographics on Measures to Limit the Spread of Infection
An important aspect of slowing the spread of infection are hygiene and social isolation measures recommended by the World Health Organization and public health authorities. The Government of Canada has issued a series of infographics to explain these measures:
As well, guidelines and measures for social distancing issued by the Quebec, provincial and territorial governments are evolving rapidly. Quebec and Ontario have ordered non-essential businesses to close as of March 24. Some provinces and territories are also requiring self-isolation for anyone entering the province from other parts of Canada. Limits have also been placed on the size of gatherings.
