2022 Cubacan Kids Project
A global pandemic and 60 years of the U.S. embargo have made life difficult in Cuba. As always, the young suffer the most. We want to help the kids. Our project will focus on three areas, — basic school supplies for primary level kids, (kindergarten to grade six), teaching aids for Special Needs kids and music instruments.
Here is a sample of what we are looking for:
Basic School Supplies
Everything from pens and pencils to notebooks and paper. A complete list is on our website.
Music is an important part of a child’s development, especially in Cuba. Here are just a few suggestions, guitars, electric keyboards, violins, flute, recorders, etc. (No grand pianos please)
Paint, paper, brushes, etc. Everything a child needs from kindergarten on to develop their imagination and creativity.
One of the most important areas. We want things that will help the kids with major challenges; the blind, hearing impaired, autistic, etc. Anything that will help these kids would be appreciated, especially braille machines, which are very rare in Cuba.
Soccer balls, baseballs, softballs, basketballs, etc. Physical development is just as important as their educational needs.
