76th Anniversary of August Revolution and Vietnam National Day

Participate in an online celebration of the 76th anniversary of the victory of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945). The August Revolution ended colonial rule and foreign occupation and hailed the birth of a sovereign independent Vietnam, which was officially proclaimed on Vietnam National Day, September 2, 1945.

His Excellency Pham Cao Phong, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Canada, the guest of honour, will make the opening remarks.

Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Vietnam University of Social Sciences and Humanities will give the keynote presentation, No One Left Behind: Socialism in the Fight Against COVID-19.

There will be a musical performance by Vietnamese Canadian youth.
