Celebrate the 95th Anniversary of the Birth of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro

On August 13 at 10:00 am EDT, a virtual event will take place to honour the life and work of Fidel Castro. The event will be held in conjunction with the Sao Paulo Forum (FSP). There will be four sessions, followed by the closing:

First Session: About Fidel (10:00-10:50 am)

Audiovisual presentations and remarks from the Executive Secretary of the Foro de Sao Paolo and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez, as well as Cuban scientists who worked directly with Fidel.

Second Session: Confronting COVID-19 (10:50-11:00 am)

Audiovisual presentations on vaccine candidates and Cuban vaccines.

Third Session: Cuban Medical Brigades (11:00-11:10 am)

Interventions on the international work of the Cuban Medical Brigades.

Fourth Session (11:10-11:40 am)

Interventions by presidents, former presidents, leaders of progressive parties and intellectuals in Latin America.

Closing (11:40 am)

Remarks by the President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.

This event will be broadcast through the Sao Paulo Forum Facebook page in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.
