Army General Raúl Castro Ruz joined the President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel and Gerardo Hernandez, President of the Committees for the Defence of the Revolution, at a mass rally in Havana on July 17. Díaz-Canel addressed the problems that Cuba faces as a result of the U.S. blockade and emphasized that by involving the people, Cuba is tackling these problems in a manner which favours them. He stated that Cuba will never accept foreign intervention in Cuba’s internal affairs and that “Cuba will continue to march ahead. It is doing so right now, with the first two Latin American vaccines, Abdala and Soberana 02.” He pointed out that Abdala has shown to be 100 per cent effective in serious cases.
