Edmonton responded to the call for A Day of Action in solidarity with the Palestinian Uprising & General Strike on May 18. Despite the pouring rain, which turned to snow, close to 1,000 people participated in a militant socially-distanced march. This was the second event in the city to stand with the Palestinian people. On May 15, an estimated 10,000 cars joined in a car caravan which took more than three hours to pass, travelling from north to south on the Anthony Henday Ring Road and north through the city to its starting point.
