No Words to Express Our Loss

Jean-Paul Bédard

With profound sadness, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist) informs you that our Comrade Jean-Paul Bédard passed away on the evening of Sunday, March 28, 2021.

Despite fighting pneumonia, Jean-Paul spent the previous day joyfully, in the company of Party comrades from across the country in a virtual celebration of 50 years of Party work. He died in peace, accompanied by his dearest companion Ginette and his children Alexandre, Gabrielle and Étienne. Our Party was also able to speak with him to say good-bye.

Our deepest condolences to Ginette, his family members and all his comrades with whom he shared many adventures in the course of a life very well lived. We have no words to express our loss.

We will write about Jean-Paul’s many achievements at a later date.
