Canadian Voice of Women for Peace and other organizers call on everyone to join the second Canada-Wide Day of Action on October 2 to demand that the federal government cancel the $19 billion competition for 88 new fighter jets and instead invest in a just economic recovery. This fighter jet procurement is the second most expensive military procurement in Canadian history. The federal government will select the winning bid in 2022 with the first jet to be delivered by 2025.
On October 2, join an action outside your member of Parliament’s office, or organize one in your riding. For information to help in organizing your own action see here, and email info@vowpeace.org to add your action to the list.
For further information and for new actions as they are organized see: Facebook.
