Tribute at Party Memorial

On August 15, 2020 the Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist) held a gathering and floral tribute at the Party’s monument in Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa to honour the memory of Comrade Hardial Bains, CPC(M-L)’s beloved Founder and Leader, and other Party comrades who have passed away and to pay particular respects to the comrades who have died in the past year. This year marks the sad loss of two Party comrades, Miguel Ángel Céspedes Pino and Peter Macrisopoulos, both of whom died due to COVID-19. Party comrades were joined on this important occasion by delegations representing Cuba, Venezuela and Vietnam.

August is the time every year when CPC(M-L) marks important occasions in the life of the Party. August 15 this year marked the 81th anniversary of Hardial Bains birth and the 31st anniversary of the historic meeting in Chertsey Quebec where, under his leadership the Party discussed unfolding events and set its orientation for the coming historical period. On August 24 the Party marks the poignant occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the loss of Comrade Hardial Bains.
