Affirm Women’s Rights!
All Out for International Women’s Day 2020!
On March 8, International Women’s Day, around the world women organize rallies, marches and gatherings of all kinds to assert their claim as women to a say and control over all the affairs of society. Their struggle to affirm their collective rights is part and parcel of the fight to defend the rights of all.
One hundred and nine years ago, International Women’s Day was established to highlight the fight of women for peace, for their rights as workers, and for their right to participate in political affairs and to take their place in the vanguard of all fields of human endeavor. Look at any front of struggle today, whether of peoples for political empowerment and to humanize the natural and social environment, workers for their rights, or the Indigenous peoples to defend their lands and hereditary rights and women are in the front ranks.
All events below are on March 8 unless otherwise indicated.
