Injured workers and fellow workers’ rights advocates are rallying at the Ministry of Labour to tell the Ford government to fix occupational health and safety, and workers’ compensation NOW by:

– enacting s. 83(4) of the current Workplace Safety and Insurance Act that would hold employers responsible when temp agency workers are injured or killed at their places of work
– passing private members’ Bill 119 to end the practice of “deeming” (also called phantom jobs) that is impoverishing injured workers by cutting their benefits
