Voting Day October 21
Requirements to Vote
You must be:
• A Canadian citizen.
• 18 or older on election day.
• Registered to vote.
If you are not registered you can register when you go to vote:
Bring ID: Something that proves your identity and your current address such as a driver’s license if you have one.
If not: bring any ID with your photo, name and address issued by the federal government, the province or your municipality. Or, two other pieces of ID which have your name and one has to have your current address. This includes passports, blood donor cards, birth certificates, band memberships amongst others.
Someone can also vouch for you. They must be able to prove their own identity and address.

Voting Hours for Each Time Zone
All times are local:
• Newfoundland: 8:30 am to 8:30 pm
• Atlantic: 8:30 am to 8:30 pm
• Eastern: 9:30 am to 9:30 pm
• Central: 8:30 am to 8:30 pm
• Mountain: 7:30 am to 7:30 pm
• Pacific: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
This means polls in Newfoundland and Labrador will close at 7:00 pm ET — and all polls will be closed by 10 pm ET.
