Childhood budgets are slow in rolling out, there are still caps for children over six years old and no needs based programming before April 2020.

The announcement last week that the Child and Community Resources will no longer be able to provide fee-for-service for autism therapies leaves many communities in northern Ontario, from Sudbury, Manitoulin, Algoma, Thunder Bay, Kenora and Rainy River Districts without any service options for their children at all. Families should not have to move hours away from their jobs, families and support systems to access life-changing therapies for their children.
